Intravenous therapy is administered by nurses, EMTs, and paramedics or under the supervision of physicians and dentists in offices and clinics.
This course prepares participants for initiating and/or maintaining common intravenous therapies and includes the following topics.
This 8 hour class meets for one day from 8:00am to 4:30pm usually on a Saturday. You are encouraged to bring along friends or family who are willing to allow you to practice starting IVs on them. Students will also practice on mannequins.
Once you have completed the IV Therapy class, you will receive a "Certificate of Completion" indicating that you have received specialized training IV Therapy.
